“Today is our second day in Toyalton Punta Cana resort ,but this is not the first time when we visit this resort and the impression was always good but this time is just total SHOCK even with understanding of problem that can cause “corona time” .Me as a regular traveller with kids would like to suggest to other customers to think before to book this destination otherwise your dreaming vacation can turn into stressful and unpleasant stay!!! !!!!!!!!!’I was here several times but this time is absolutely different, very BAD and our 14 days vacation is absolutely ruined due to VERY - VERY bad service and ignorance to provide service to English speaking guests. When previous guests admitted this issue in comments I thought it’s joke but it’s NOT. Horrible feeling when you asking for spoon or bread and waitress just ignore you or demonstrate absolutely inappropriate attitude just because you not communicate in Spanish 😡😡😡we meet with this situation yesterday in buffet and today in Hunter Steakhouse. I will add lately the names of staff that were so disrespectful to me and my family that cause almost to cry about us in Hunter House today. We didn’t come to fight, we came to enjoy !!! We respect you guys ,why you so bad with us. Absolutely nasty feeling, since you don’t speak Spanish you not existing😓😓😓😓😓We know Dominican Republic as friendly country that was always respectful to tourists from USA, Canada , England and other English speaking countries. No longer!!! Situation changed by some reason . Food , especially at buffet is not eatable , cold and extremely low variety. Total waste of money, it’s reminds me about the same feeling during vacation in Cuba😡MANAGEMENT At Royalton I hope you will not destroy such amazing resort to the end. Please talk with your staff:the chef must try food before place in counter top, even with limited number of visitors we have rights to eat, waitress must be respectful when asked for service. Also, just to underline -staff is not the same and looks very grumpy , unhappy and with facial expressions demonstrate that do favour for you even if you ask for cup of water. NEVER Again, WOW how disappointing 🥺🥺🥺”

“We booked the hotel a few months ago looking for a get away, we came to this resort in 2014 and were excited to return. Our check in process was very easy and our room was ready as we got there around 4pm. However, when we walked into the room it was clear they had not done a good job cleaning it, the sign was there “your room has been sanitized” but the washroom was dirty (marks on the mirror and no soap). There was still hair on the floor. Empty water bottles in the fridge (clearly no one even checked there). Thank god we had brought our own Lysol wipes and spent first 10 min wiping everything down. We settled in and decided to go grab food, the buffet is good and organized. When we got back, my son decided to play on the laptop and there was a plug near the glass table, he tried to pull the table towards himself but it’s not stuck to the base, it fell on him and thank god it didn’t land on the floor. We got so scared as it’s a heavy glass table. The beach is clean, the staff is very friendly but the restaurants do not take reservations so we been waiting for a table for 30-45min when you go around 7pm, which is difficult with kids. The real nightmare began at night, the fire alarm just won’t stop, it went off every few hours, our poor kids exhausted from the flight couldn’t sleep, we complained about it in the morning but they said there was a technical issue. They were investigating, again the next night it just kept going off, I had to send my husband to the front desk at 2am because it had gone off 3 times by then, they came and took off the smoke detector which didn’t help. It’s so loud and scary that my kids refuse to stay in the room. We asked for a change of room but told resort is over booked. We have been following up non-stop but no solution. I am so upset with the staff and the situation. I would not recommend this resort to anyone!!!! It’s been the worst vacation with lack of sleep…”
