“SUMMARY * beach and pools - great * Covid-19 safety measures - gel, plastic screens- good * Protocols for guests who test positive for covid - good * staff generally friendly - good * food - mixed experience * Entertainment staffing children center - needs improvementWhat NEEDS to be improved: 1) The children center: finding the right staff. As a parent on holiday with a young child, we looked forward to activities facilitated by the entertainment staff. We had one excellent member of the Entertainment staff, named Kaylee.Children enjoyed being around her, and they felt comfortable doing activities indoors if they wanted to take a break from the playground outdoors. However, there was another Entertainment staffer who appeared not to care about working with children. She was chatting with her friend on her phone rather than leading activities for kids. She closed and put away some toys and activities, and yelled "NO" at some of the children. When I was there to observe her, she was sitting with her arms crossed next to another woman with her child, talking badly about one of the kids looking for toys to play with in the kitchen area.Maybe she had a bad day or maybe she did NOT like working with kids. She should be asked to work in another division of the resort if this is the case.2) The mini-disco show they run in the evenings was LOUD.The music and entertainment blared from the early evening up to about 11pm.From my room it was tough to sleep.OTHER COMMENTS: Other than this one staff person who was unprofessional in the children's center, the rest of the staff were generally friendly and professional.I appreciated that the staff in the snack bar by the beach tried to enforce the rules for wearing masks when lining up for food, and for not allowing food to be taken out.COVID-19 related comments: 1) I contracted C-19 during my stay and I was grateful that the resort had designated a living space for guests who tested positive.2) I appreciated the resort staff bringing my meals to me.The selection was generally good.3) I'm not sure what the arrangement was for housekeeping.I did not receive new towels or get a visit from them to see if I needed more toiletries.I left my rubbish and food containers in a bin at the end of the hall.By the end of the week, the garbage bin was overflowing.”

“Canadians beware - make sure you eat a weeks worth of food before coming because you’ll barely want to touch 90% of the food here (I am far from a picky eater). The sushi restaurant used canned tuna and hot dogs. I spent way too much to eat elementary cafeteria food. The beach and the resort is surprisingly nice nice but our stay was ruined by the food. Definitely walk or Uber form the street for some good food, we loved Onnos.”
