“I paid for two nights at the Hotel ONE in Cancun on the day I arrived then I decided to move down to Playa del Carmen for the second night. Boy, was it difficult to get my money back for the 2nd night. They wanted my credit card number, my bank account number and everything written out on a piece of paper. The alternative was that they would send me an email with a list of all their information needs, including my name, address, and I could respond by email. It was either a scam by their local accountant or they are completely naive. We were able to work out a solution that was acceptable to me after I asked to speak the the "Gerente". I hope my bank account has not been drained. Other than that, the room was clean, AC worked, breakfast was all you could ask for, the pool was warm after a long day of walking on the beaches exploring Hotel Avenue beaches. I am in a Hotel One for tonight in Playa. I only paid for one night, and will pay as I go. No pool in Playa but the beach is a 6-minute walk. Happiness Prevails.”

“It Is a well located, low cost hotel in downtown Playa. Due to COVID-19 protocols all guests must wear facemask at all times, if you forget employees I guess work off selling ítems and will try to convience you into buying these ítems. I refused to fall victim to this scheme on tourist and went back to my room to get a facemask. We were talking about 5 bucks which I would hace gladly given the receptionist as a tip but not through their scheme. Be atentive and remember that low cost hotels usually try to make up cost elsewhere.”
